I loved getting to know this beautiful couple during their maternity session, so by the time their newborn session came we already knew each other and it was just like hanging out with friends (where I happened to be photographing their baby girl).
Another awesome thing about doing both a maternity session and a newborn session is I got to try something new (the image below). It was the last shot of the day for both the maternity session (the “reflection”) and the newborn session, which I don’t think we could have topped that smile!
There is no better way to remember how tiny a newborn is than to see her in your arms. I still look back at my kids and wonder how they were ever that small! This little angel was just full of smiles for both Mom and Dad. And I think she just might be a Daddy’s girl 🙂 We even got in a “3 generations” photo, which I absolutely love!
And nothing beats the tiny details of a newborn, those itty bitty fingers and toes, the long eyelashes, the perfectly pouty (or smiley in this case) lips and those adorable wrinkles on her back. Just perfect in every way!
