I had so much fun doing this beautiful fall family portrait session at Peters Lake Park in Pittsburgh PA. This family, who just moved to Pittsburgh from the LA area, has two adorable and energetic boys that were so much fun to both photograph and just be around! The session was almost delayed since it stormed all day. But, miraculously, the sun came out about an hour before the session! (And this is the second time this has happened for me at this location lol). I ventured out to the opposite side of the lake that I have previously done my sessions on, and I’m so glad I did! It was the perfect fall setting, a bright colorful canopy of trees and leaf-lined pathway. The rain wet down the trees and leaves which I think brought out even more of the color. It was almost fairytale-like.
One funny moment was the second time a man walked by us, he was nice enough to ask if we wanted him to take some photos with me in the picture 🙂 I bet that would have been a great one to frame above the fireplace 😉 One series that is my absolute favorite, The family was being all cute and suddenly the youngest leaned in and licked mom! She looked at me and exclaimed “Did you see that?!?!” and then he tried again (but was unsuccessful haha). And I fought the whole thing 🙂
I had taken my own kids out for a good walk earlier in the day, thinking that would be my exercise for the day. Nope haha! These two boys had me racing all over with them. Actually they had all three adults racing all around with them, which is what I love to have in a family photo session. It’s just a big game, and what family doesn’t have fun playing games together?
