This week's photography tip is about making eye contact with your subject

Photography Tip: All about the eyes

This week’s photography tip is all about the eyes. Direct eye contact can be as engaging in a picture as it is in real life. When taking a picture of someone, hold the camera at the person’s eye level to show that connection. And yes, for children, that means getting down to their level. Even if your subject isn’t looking at the camera, being at your subject’s eye level will create a personal and inviting feeling that pulls the viewer into the picture. Viewers will follow your subject’s eyes so make sure to take that into consideration as well, whether you capture them gazing off or looking at your main focus of the photo (or even each other!)
