I just love the greetings I get from this guy’s big sister! I showed up for his newborn photos and she immediately began to tell me all about her toys, her brother, her family and took me to see her bedroom where she showed me all of her things in there too. And, oh ya, her brother’s crib haha. Then back to the living room to introduce me to “her” baby Kade. So adorable. And they definitely brightened an otherwise gloomy, rainy Pittsburgh day.
Back in October, I did a maternity session with this gorgeous family and Dad knew baby’s gender and Mom didn’t. How he kept that secret the whole time I will never fathom. But baby “Kade” arrived a surprise to mom and the whole family is smitten.
I just love the personal touches we used for his photos; his “cocoon” and the knit blanket (beighe with the square pattern) that Mom made herself! And she also made his little striped knit hat which he wore in the hospital. Special items like this bring so much into his photos and I always encourage my clients to try and include anything personal. And the cream rug from the room is just so amazing, I’m thinking I need one for my room 🙂
And towards the end of the session big sister just had to get in her own little photo shoot, isn’t she just so adorable?!
Fantastic way to cap off 2013, and I am very much looking forward to 2014!
